Reimbursement Policy

Return & Exchange Policy – Carpathian Jerky

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your Carpathian Jerky purchase. If something isn’t right, here’s how we handle it.

1) General Return Window

  • We accept return requests within 30 days of receiving your parcel.

  • For food products, returns are only possible if the package is sealed, unopened, and in the original packaging, in the same condition as delivered.

  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

2) “Doorstep Exchange” (quick swap via courier)

Want to replace a product with another? We can arrange a 1-to-1 swap with the courier:

  • The courier delivers the new item and collects the return on the spot.

  • Any price difference will be settled in advance online or—where possible—directly with the courier.

  • Shipping cost for exchanges:

    • Free if the error is on us (wrong/damaged item).

    • Paid by the customer in all other cases (size/variant change, preference-based exchange, satisfaction guarantee, etc.).

3) How to Start a Return or Exchange

Email us at contact@carpathianjerky.ro with your order number, reason (return or exchange), and photos if applicable.

Please do not ship items without our confirmation—once your request is approved, we’ll send you a return label and clear instructions.

4) Damages & Delivery Issues

Please check your parcel upon delivery. If you notice damaged, missing, or incorrect items, notify us within 48 hours of delivery (include photos of the outer packaging and labels). We will promptly resolve the issue via:

  • replacement,

  • doorstep exchange, or

  • refund, as appropriate.
    In these cases, we cover all shipping costs.

5) Exceptions / Non-returnable Items

For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns for:

  • opened or unsealed products;

  • food products that can deteriorate quickly once the packaging is compromised;

  • customized items/special orders;

  • hazardous materials/flammable liquids/gases;

  • gift cards;

  • items in clearance/closeout promotions marked as non-returnable (where specified on the product page).

Note on EU right of withdrawal (14 days):
For orders shipped within the EU, you have the legal right to cancel or return within 14 days without giving any reason, only for sealed and unopened products that are not among the exceptions above. Conditions regarding sealed state, original packaging, and proof of purchase still apply.

6) Return Shipping Costs

  • We pay return shipping if the return is due to a Carpathian Jerky error (wrong/damaged item).

  • Customer pays return shipping in all other cases (preference-based exchanges, returns without specific reason, etc.).

7) Refunds

  • After we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you to confirm whether the refund is approved.

  • Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within up to 10 business days.

  • Your bank/payment processor may require additional processing time.

  • If more than 15 business days have passed since our approval and you haven’t received your refund, please contact us at contact@carpathianjerky.ro.

8) Packaging & Return Conditions

  • Items must be returned in the original packaging, with intact seals and visible labels (batch/lot, best-before date).

  • Please pack securely to avoid damage in transit.
